From planters to whole kitchens, I love to build with reclaimed materials

Kitchen

Kitchen I built from reclaimed materials. The doors were made from 1930's oak and pitched pine full size interior doors cut down and rejoined.

Planters

Planters made with reclaimed pallet wood and personalised with stencils.

 

Bourbon shelf

Reclaimed timber was used to make this shelf. It was waxed and then stencilled with the word Bourbon. The customer has now filled it with various bourbon display bottles and glasses.

Crates

Reclaimed timber is used to make various sized crates with stencilling available before waxing or painting. 

 

Factory Cart Coffee Table

I really like the original Lineberry factory carts from the USA but could not afford a real one. Managed to source some original wheels so decided to create my own cart.  

Work in progress levelling out the wheels and checking size was right for room.

Waxing the frame. Ageing the electrical conduit with wax and black paint to give it a nice patina.

Ageing the conduit saddles used to hold the axle. Black paint and wax used for an aged oily look.

 

 

I waxed the wheels to seal in the rust and give them a nice patina. This really enhanced the aged look.

 

The wheels in there original as found state.

Test fitting the wheels onto the electrical conduit axle.

I aged the pulley wheels with a belt sander and some wax.

The pulley wheels bought from Ebay. I removed the hook.

French distressed and stencilled bathroom cabinet

Stencil added and then clear waxed to finish.

Grey chalk paint distressed with sand paper, scouring pad and damp cloth to give the impression of age and use.

Painted with grey chalk painted over the top of the dark oak wood-stain.

Stained with a dark oak wood-stain.

Made from pallet wood.

 

Rustic Houses

Rustic tea light and bird houses made in the American Primitive style

 

Bath panel with storage and under sink storage unit

Bath panel with storage cupboard and under sink storage unit painted with Craig and Rose Blaze blue eggshell.

Glass knobs used on doors.

Made from plywood and pine strips.

Misc. items

Unit made to hold 4 numbered crates. The numbers were stencilled on after the crates were painted and distressed. Cup handles were also added.

Fire place made from scaffold boards distressed and aged to look like sleepers.

 

 

Corbels made from reclaimed timber.

 

Fly screen door made from reclaimed construction timber for a customer. Stained to match existing door and windows. The door frame had to be extended to allow for the 2nd door to be attached. original door swings outwards and the fly screen door inwards.
